Kenneth Ufere serves as partner in the firm of KS Advisory Partners Limited (a financial consulting firm in projects management, real estate, and oil and gas), a position he took up in June 2022 after being an executive director of Princeps Credit Systems Limited from March 2020 to June 2022. Prior to these appointments, Mr Ufere had over 20 years work experience in the banking sector and has worked in operations, commercial banking, credit and marketing, and risk management of various banks.
Mr Ufere held various positions in different banks from branch operations in Equitorial Trust Bank (Feb 1998 – Mar 1999) to branch head of operations in Standard Trust Bank currently United Bank for Africa (March 1999 – Nov 2001), where he was part of the team that both transformed and set up the North-East Region of the Bank with Gombe State as the regional office. He had a stint in the now defunct Fortune International Bank’s commercial banking department (Nov 2001 – Nov 2004).
He equally worked in Diamond Bank (May 2006 – July 2009), where he started his career in risk management particularly recovery and was head of the recovery team for Lagos and West Region. Mr Ufere has worked with one of the top 5 banks in Nigeria, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc (August 2009 – June 2017), where he was head of loan monitoring and recovery. His last banking position was in Union Bank Plc (July 2017 – Mar 2020) as head of business support and recovery in a senior management position.
Mr Ufere prior to his banking career worked in a French manufacturing company based in Nigeria called SEEPC Nigeria Limited as the maintenance officer. He later assumed the position of maintenance manager of the company’s largest poultry farm in Kano State Nigeria. He currently serves as a shareholder in Princeps Holding Company, Director in Cycord Ventures Limited and Ancient Rock Services International Limited. Mr Ufere holds a B.Eng degree in Agric-Soil and Water Engineering from Federal University of Technology Minna Niger State Nigeria, an MBA from ESUT Business School Lagos Nigeria. He is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management, the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria, the Institute of Operations Management University of Warwick Science Park, and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (HCIB)
